Cleaning your eyeshadow brushes – the best trick you’ll hear all year!

11

I recently saw a little article on this trick pop up on my Facebook and I knew I had to try it for myself! I figured, if it works, we’ve literally hit the jackpot, and if not no harm done (but fricken hell it works!) Here is the absolutely 100% genius way to clean your eyeshadow brushes – hassle free. All you need is an old hair doughnut!

To test this trick out I swirled one of my eyeshadow brushes in a deep black, highly pigmented Urban Decay black shadow, and swatched it on my hand.

Afterwards I swirled my brush around the top of my hair doughtnut – the wires making up the doughnut are soft enough to not damage the brush, but harsh enough (and in the right pattern,) to draw out all the shadow from the brush.

After this I went to swatch the brush again next to the black – and can we just appreciate!? (Yes, I genuinely swatched over and over and this is what happened!) So grab your old doughnut and live this hack over and over – gen-i-us!

That’s awesome! I’m glad I read this. I saw those Vera Mona ads on Facebook about their Color Switch products, I figured that they were a similar texture to the hair donuts. I’m gonna have to dig mine out now. 🙂 Thanks for the tip!
