You’ve probably heard somewhere about how everyone’s using this shaving balm as a primer. I have no idea who started it or where they even got the idea from, but I’m glad they did! You can buy this in supermarkets and drugstores for about a fiver – although I’ve seen it on sales a lot so I would personally hold out for one if you feel like giving it a whirl!
Most people I’ve talked to on beauty groups and to makeup hoarding friends really like this primer, but I have heard a few people saying they really dislike it and don’t get the fuss. Although the majority I’ve heard are on board with this multi-usage product, maybe it’s more touch and go depending on your skin type and the type of primer you’re after!
I find this primer really tacky (consistency-wise 😉 ) and easy to spread. My skin drinks it up really quickly which means I don’t have to wait around for ages before moving on with my makeup; winning. It definitely hasn’t changed the whole of my makeup life, however I do find makeup stays on longer with a better finish. I also find it works as more of a barrier between my skin and makeup; which I really love as a lot of my makeup has a list of ingredients, 90% of which I don’t know – most makeup probably isn’t all that good for your skin haha! I’ll definitely be buying another of these badboys when it’s on sale and I’ve used this up!
