What’s in my bag? Short-haul hand luggage!

Alohaaa, I’m off to Milan on Friday woooohooo! I thought I’d throw together a post of all my must haves in a short-haul flight; as there are a few things I just couldn’t be without on a plane! For long-haul flights I bring a wholeee heap more, as I feel like that becomes a bigger question of comfort along with tackling the boredom, but that post can wait till my next long-haul! For a few hours on a plane, here are the things I neeeeed:

One of the first things I always sort out is to have a little pool of movies and programs to watch. I always download way more than I need to cover the flight time, and a good enough variety that I have a whole bunch of choices. BBC iPlayer and 4oD let you download their programs for free, so have a look at that if you’re interested! For Milan I have a new pair of headphones and a headphone splitter, so me and my boyfriend can watch things together – cuteeee.

Things to read is also a must-must-must! For my birthday I was given a book from one of my favourite authors so I’m definitely chucking this in my bag, along with Elle magazine to flick through with my music playing.

Money and travel documents, who’d have thought!? 😉 I love my little passport case, and how amazing is that document holder? It’s actually my mums that I steal for every holiday, but I need to get myself one because it’s soso good! It has so many jazzy little compartments for all your different documents – loooove.

As we all know, your skin and lips dry out so much on flights, so I always have a moisturiser (below 100ml to meet flight requirements,) and a lip balm – I tend to bring a nice new one for ma holssss. Gum and sweets are also really good if yours ears/head hurt on planes. (Mine are always agony.) If your ears/head are that bad – literally before last year I sit there crying through flights because of the pain – go to your doctor and get a nose spray. I don’t really know entirely how this works but it bloody does, on my last flight my ears and head felt fine – for the first time in my whole life. I added a picture in case you want to ask about this exact one – thank me later!

Finally, I always make sure to upload a banging playlist to my phone to jam along to on plane and holiday in general – every one needs a holiday playlist! I also make sure to have a good bit of memory on my phone for all those holiday snapssss. I am SO EXCITED.

Are you going away this year?

I’m going on holiday on Monday so very glad you posted this, it’s like a mini check list for me!! My ears always pop and I am in agony, so having gum or sweets is a must for me!! I need to start downloading tv shows for plane journeys, that’s such a good idea!

Great tip with the nasal spray! I do not usually suffer too much, but I had an instance when I thought my head was going to pop. It is great to know of something that can help
