Holiday relaxation | Holiday exhileration

Hello! I’ve recently returned from Malta (post coming soon!) and after discussing with some friends, realised we really all ‘holiday’ differently. I feel like holidays are so important if you’re a busy person – they’re the perfect way to relax. Of course, there are different ways of relaxing to each person. You might find sports and adventure the perfect way to blow off some steam. Or you might just be yearning for a hot sandy beach and a massage. Whichever way you prefer, your holidays are the ideal downtime for a much-needed break away.

RELAXATION

If you love to relax and do next to nothing when you’re on holiday, you’re not alone. With hundreds of ‘sun worshippers’ swarming the beach, people love nothing more than baking by the sea. This stillness can offer the relaxation you’re looking for when you’re taking time out from work. The sound of the ocean lapping at the beach and the warmth of the sun certainly do destress you.

Of course, there are other things you can do to help you relax while you’re on holiday. Why not book a massage? There are lots of different types of massage, so you don’t have to always take your clothes off! The idea is to help the blood flow to your muscles improve. This can help them to relax, and the rhythmic movement can help reduce your blood pressure. Once you’re relaxed, you can take a few minutes to enjoy the quiet.

Yoga retreats offer you something to do as well as a great way to relax. Even if you’re a Yoga newbie, you can still enjoy the many health benefits it has to offer. Not only will it help you relax your muscles, but you’ll also improve your flexibility and mental focus too. Your balance will be better, and you’ll find your energy levels get a boost. What do you do when you want to relax on holiday?

EXHILARATION

Of course, many of us love the excitement and exhilaration of doing something completely new. Anything that gets the heart pumping and adrenaline racing can prove helpful in managing your stress levels. Once the excitement is over, your body returns to a calmer, more relaxed state. Mentally, you have the satisfaction of knowing you’ve achieved something so it can provide you with emotional calm too.

Whenever you’re active in hotter climes, it’s essential you drink much more water to ensure you stay hydrated. Find the best glass water bottle online to find something that prevents plastic build-up and nasty tastes. When you have your water with you, you can keep going and enjoy your activities for longer. If you’re on holiday for a bit of excitement and exercise, then you should also pack a hat and plenty of sunscreen.

Extreme sports are the reason many people travel as these activities are rarely available in our home towns. You might be up for that once-in-a-lifetime experience like parachuting or bungee jumping. Or maybe you’re hoping to refine your skiing skills on a world-class slope? Achieving great things is a really good way to spend your holiday. It can go a long way to providing self-satisfaction as well as reducing your stress. What’s your most active holiday idea?
