My Revlon lip wardrobe

Hello beauties! I recently received the cutest little parcel from the babes at Revlon – a collection of 10 stunning lip products making up my gorgeous little lip wardrobe. There are four different product categories and I’ve had so much fun trying them all out and couldn’t wait to share with you my thoughts! Let’s get into it…

(Excuse the Christmas nails 😉 ) I’m always so excited for post – what a loser – but when it’s at pretty as this I get such a little buzz inside! The package was beautifully wrapped with tissue paper and a leaflet telling me the formulas and shades.

Okay so let me talk you through my thoughts. First up I tried the metallic matte lip colours because I haven’t tried these from Revlon before and they really caught me eye. I’m 100% obsessed with the gleam shade (the metallic on the right of both pics above,) it’s so wearable for everyday yet really catches the light and is unlike anything else I own! It also wears super evenly so you’re not left with any blotches which is brill! The darkest shade is also so pretty but I’ll definitely need to psych myself up to wear it properly out and about aha – 2018 is the year of confidence I can feel it! 😉 This one does wear a little more patchy so it’s worth having it on hand for top-ups if you bring it out.

I have tried the super lustrous lipsticks before so already knew what they were like, but I haven’t tried these particular shades before and I’m always up for trying new colours out. Being a nude hoarder the shade 044 is life to me – I feel like it’s an all-rounder that would suit so many different skin types and make all your features pop, it’s so so pretty! These lipsticks are also so balmy and creamy which leave such a pretty sheen on your lips. 046 comes out slightly more pinky red than it looks on the stick and 045 is a beautiful plum shade – see the swatches at the end of the post!

I started hoarding lip liners since about a year ago, having finally discovered how much better they make your lipstick look and wear, and these shades match some of the other products in this parcel so well and really make them pop. These liners are definitely up there with quality high street brands and increase the wear of your lipstick on top. I would use some lip balm before application to make it run smoothly and blend. I like to use liners all over my lips as a solid base and a colour intensifier.

Finally, I have the two gel lipcolours, which are super balmy and come in the prettiest two shades. Again, I’m in love with the more nude ‘sand’ shade and I already know I’ll be repurchasing this one. It’s the perfect ‘your lips but better’ sheen and everday wear. For something so balmy it lasts really well too! If I had to choose just one favourite from this package, it would be between this and the gleam metallic.

(I had to scrub my arm so many times after taking this picture to get everything off – these shades are so-so pigmented and longwearing that they just didn’t want to budge! I was left with the matte metallic mark for a good day afterwards ahah, consider them budge-proof!)
