Hello you lovely little thing! A few months ago I graced your screens ( 😉 ) with a round-up of a whole bunch of free makeup from Rimmel, and how to get yours too with the help of Influenster – you can read that post here. I’ve recently been blessed to have another opportunity to try out more Rimmel products, and I wanted to let you know my thoughts and fill you in once again on how you can get yours for free.
So this was supposed to be the Rimmel holiday voxbox but thanks to the usual Christmas delays this ended up getting to me in January. I’m totally cool with this though because to me, most of these products are perfect for festival season and that’s when I’ll be getting the most use out of them.
I was really intrigued by the three lip arts as I feel like they would jazz up a bold or dark lip, but since trialling them out I’m not as impressed as I would have hoped. They’re very sheer so take a bit of layering to get a good effect. With that being said these lip coats are fairly versatile and I love the colours of them when swatched. I think I’ll be using these for a serious highlight (obviously with a fair bit of blending) on the brow and cheek bones instead. When it comes to festival season when we’re glittered up I feel like this will be the pointiest of on-point highlighters. I haven’t actually used the tattoos yet because I’m saving them for summer parties and festivals this year but I think they’re going to look amaaaazing! The grown-up version of childhood sun. 😉
As for the liners, they have a lovely brush and you can achieve really delicate details, but they’re not the most long-wearing out of the rimmel liner range – the glam eyes formulation is slightly better and the brush is pretty much the same. The gold is unlike anything else I own though and I really love this one – even if it’s not the most long-wearing in the world. (You do get what you pay for sometimes and these are really well priced.) I now have two of the mascaras and it’s a good every day option.
So let’s get you some free makeup! Sign up to Influenster here and answer some snap surveys and personal info in order to be eligible for voxboxes.
